WSF & Facebook Delivers - Top 12 Ideas for Sparking Innovation

Twelve (12) $250 FACEBOOK Challenge Grants awarded!

During American Education Week—November 16-22, 2014 - District Staff submitted their ideas for innovation in the classroom using 50 words or less on the WSF FaceBook page. There were a total of 34 posts with 12 selected as the top choices for sparking innovation. The winners were announced Monday - on FaceBook of course!
East High School Student Council was one! and another grant was matched by Dave Junion Photography. Two other donors stepped up "support our schools" and funded an additional 2 grants making the total number of grants available. All the ideas can be viewed on the WSF FB page.

Each recipient received a $250 FB Grant immediately. The grant funds are part of a School Foundation program  Heritage Families - 3+ generations of families that attended the Wausau School District public schools and created a fund in support of Reach for the Stars education grants - Sparking Innovation for Student Success.

A BIG FB LIKE from Grant Elementary Students, Teacher Korrin Traska and Prinicipal, Mr. Chris Nyman
Korrin's FB Grant will increase STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) opportunities in the
out of school time using "Makey-Makey".
