New to the District this year - The Engineering and Global Leadership (EGL) Academy at Wausau East High School.

In partnership with Longfellow Administration Center Staff Casual For Cause and SHOPKO - the School Foundation teams up to create a closet of school supplies available to any Elementary Wausau School District student in need.

The Board of Directors is looking for a few more good men and women.

Eight grants were recently selected to be funded by the Wausau School Foundation's program that supports innovation in our schools and one Professional Development Travel grant for the summer of 2010.

Wausau West High School teachers recipients of grants that will enhance learning in manufacturing and food service courses.

WHS CLASS OF '65 becomes CLASS ACT Donor Members of the Wausau School Foundation with a contribution in honor of their class.

MARISSA MAYER, VP of Search Products and User Experience, GOOGLE was inducted to the ALUMNI HALL OF FAME April 27th in front of an audience of the Wausau School District's 25 Year Club inductees, District retirees and Marissa's guests.

19 Wausau School District Staff were honored at a late afternoon reception by the Foundation's Board of Directors, District staff and community members with the "Caught In The Act" Award. In addition, 7 teachers and their team members  were acknowledged for their REACH FOR THE STARS grant work this year. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL and Thank You Donor Members for making all of this possible.

West Grad - Michael Cepress, owner of Michael Cepress Studio/Showroom, Seattle, WA and instructor in Art and Fibers, University of Washington spent an entire day with students to discuss careers in art and design.
